D. Michael Gioffre Jr., DDS
. is a graduate of The University of Maryland Dental School with an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Catholic University of America.
After obtaining his dental degree, Dr. Gioffre completed a general practice residency at Wilmington Hospital. After his residency he remained in Wilmington Delaware and has been in private practice as an independent dentist since 2000.
Dr. Gioffre is a volunteer and is on the board of Operation Smile International. Operation Smile is a not-for-profit organization which provides surgical and dental care to children and young adults in over 60 countries. Dr. Gioffre has had the privilege to volunteer and lead teams on 23 missions to several countries: including the Dominican Republic, Vietnam, China, Bolivia, Rwanda and the Philippines.
Dr. Gioffre is a member of The Delaware State Dental Society, The Academy of General Dentistry, The American Dental Association, The International Congress of Oral Implantologists, The International College of Dentists and The Independent Dental Society of Delaware.
Dr. Gioffre’s passion for dentistry and commitment to treat both children and adult patients is where he has gained his reputation as an exceptional dentist who is caring and compassionate and will provide exceptional dental care.

Nationally and Internationally Dr. Gioffre co-chairs the Dental Council of Operation Smile which is a not for profit organization providing surgical and dental care to children and young adults in over 60 countries. Dr. Gioffre has had the privilege to volunteer on 22 charitable missions to multiple countries including the Dominican Republic, Vietnam, China, Bolivia and the Philippines.
Dr Gioffre is a member of The Delaware State Dental Society, The Academy of General Dentistry, The American Dental Association and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He has also been very active in helping patients while in dental school, therefore receiving such prestigious awards as The Baltimore College of Dental Surgery Faculty Chair and The American Association of Public Health Dentistry Award.
In 2010 Dr. Gioffre was nominated by his peers and elected to the executive council of the DSDS; in 2013 he was nominated to serve as the 1st Vice President.

Georgette B. Binnersley, DDS
Dr. Georgette B. Binnersley is a graduate of the University of Maryland Dental School with an undergraduate degree in Finance from the Catholic University of America.
After obtaining her dental degree, Dr. Binnersley completed a general practice residency at the Hospital of Veterans Affairs in Washington, D.C. She then moved to Delaware and has been part of the Wilmington community since 1992.
Dr. Binnersley is a member of the American Dental Association, the Delaware State Society and the First State Implant Study group. She has had the privilege to become part of the Operation Smile Organization in 2013.
She has taken advanced hands on courses in cosmetic, restorative and endodontics and is dedicated to keep educating herself to improve her skills and knowledge in the field of dentistry to provide her patients with the best care possible. Dr. Binnersley is also bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish.
Dr. Marissa Schnelle
Dr. Marissa Schnelle is a graduate of The Ohio State University with an undergraduate degree in Biology form Case Western Reserve University. She then moved to Delaware and completed a general practice residency at Christiana Care in Wilmington in 2005. She has been working in the community ever since as a general dentist and for the past five years has also spent time in a pediatric practice.
Dr. Schnelle is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Denitstry, the Delaware State Dental Society and the First State Implant Study Group. When not practicing dentistry, Marissa is busy with her husband Mark raising their three kids, enjoying the beach and traveling.
Dr. Alexander Crawford, DMD
Dr. Alexander Crawford (known as ”Dr. Zee”) began his education at Dickinson College, where he played baseball and obtained a double major in Biochemistry and Chemistry. He then attended Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry and graduated with honors in 2021. After receiving his DMD, he joined Christiana Care Hospital, where he completed a General Practice Dentistry Residency. Dr. Zee is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Delaware State Dental Society.
When Dr. Zee is not practicing dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Danielle and their two dogs, Pippa and Rory. He is also an avid Duke Basketball fan. You catch see him watching all their games or any sporting event on TV.
Dr. Zee is committed to serving his community and looks forward to being a member of the First State Dental family. He’s excited to begin meeting patients and providing exceptional care in a kindhearted and gentle manner.
